Week Twelve: Noticing Emotions
It’s important to develop an understanding of how to work with our emotions in order to lead effectively. While this can be a challenging practice for many of us, the truth is that cultivating mindfulness and compassion around our feelings can be highly transformative. Developing skills that allow us to recognize our emotions - both in ourselves and from those around us - will help better equip you as a leader capable of responding skillfully in difficult moments. This week, we explore our feelings and dive into what Tara Brach calls her RAIN practice which she outlines in her book "Radical Compassion". This exercise seeks to provide guidance on ways we can all learn more about working through our emotions while remaining grounded and balanced within ourselves.
